In the Burren, County Clare Ireland |
Studying abroad was one of the most amazing, rewarding and life-changing things I have ever done. I highly recommend it to anyone that might like to travel or wants to expand their view on the World.

A second option is what I did! A ten week term in Erie's sister city Dungarvan, in County Waterford Ireland. This trip is an amazing experience. It's a beautiful seaside town that has tons of character and the people that live there are so friendly. You get great opportunities to travel around the country of Ireland as well as to other parts of Europe. You have class in the town theatre, and live at the Park Hotel in the self-catering mews. (FYI: Self-catering mews are townhouses). I made a lot of friends while I was there and of course still keep in touch with many of them on a regular basis. If you don't take my word for it check out Natalie's Tumblr or a at Brian's Tumblr to see what a good time they are having! We took a class on Irish History and Culture from local teachers, and this year they are working with Waterford Institute of Technology, WIT, and taking a class there. However, a few faculty members travel to Ireland with the students and they teach the majority of the classes.
